Who is responsible?
Nico Seymus is responsible for processing your data via https://nico-art.be. For any questions about privacy, you can reach us through the contact form.
What data do we process?
Contact form
When you fill in the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the subject and your message. Your IP address and browser details are also stored for technical reasons, so that abuse and spam can be detected.
We use this data only to answer your question and to follow up on the conversation about a work. The legal basis is your own request: you contact us yourself and want an answer (Article 6.1.b GDPR). Your message arrives by email and is also kept in the secure admin area of the website.
No account, no newsletter, no payments
On this website you cannot create an account, post comments or pay for anything online. Interest in a work is always handled through personal contact. We will not send you a newsletter or advertising unless you explicitly ask for it.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. This website only uses its own cookies, no cookies from advertising networks or social media.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| pll_language | Remembers the language in which you view the website (Dutch or English). | 1 year |
| sbjs_migrations, sbjs_current_add, sbjs_first_add, sbjs_current, sbjs_first, sbjs_udata, sbjs_session | Keep track of how you arrived at the website (for example via a search engine, a link or directly) and what type of device you use. This information stays on the website itself and is not shared with third parties. | Until the end of your visit |
You can refuse or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. The website will keep working; only your language choice will not be remembered.
Third-party services
Google fonts. To display the text correctly, the website loads fonts (Google Fonts) from Google’s servers. In doing so, Google technically receives your IP address. You can find more information in Google’s privacy policy.
Web hosting. The website and the messages sent through it are stored on the servers of our hosting company. That company only processes the data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
Links to other websites. A link may take you to Instagram, for example. Those websites have their own privacy rules.
We never sell your data and do not pass it on to other parties, unless the law requires us to.
How long do we keep your data?
We do not keep your message and contact details longer than needed to answer your question and follow up on contact about a work. After that we delete them. You can always ask us to erase your data sooner.
Security
The website uses a secure connection (https), so whatever you send through the form is encrypted in transit. The admin area is shielded and protected against unauthorised login attempts.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or to have it erased. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to processing, or request your data in a common format. Send your request through the contact form; we will reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
